Drive identity and ratings
The 3AXD50000035839: Frame size R1 keeps the footprint compact for a 4 kW drive, and the IP21 / NEMA Type 1 enclosure handles clean indoor environments fine — no washdowns, but okay for a dry panel or machine-mounted install.
Duty-cycle selection
Three output current ratings let you match the drive to the load profile. Light-overload and normal-duty both carry 7.2 A (4 kW); heavy-duty drops to 4.9 A (2.2 kW). If your motor nameplate says 5 A and the load is a fan or pump with low starting torque, you've got headroom. For a crusher or a press, you size off the heavy-duty number.
Environmental limits
Rated for a maximum 40 °C ambient and altitude up to 4000 m — above that you'd need to derate, but for most installations that's plenty of margin. The 50 dB(A) noise level is about what you'd expect from a drive this size; nothing that'll bother you in a machine hall. Standby loss of 24 W means the drive pulls a few watts even when the motor's stopped — factor that into panel cooling if you're running multiple drives in a sealed enclosure.
