What this drive module is and what it delivers
The 3AXD50000046012: Input voltage range is 380 to 415 V at 47.5 to 63 Hz, three-phase. Ambient temperature is capped at 40 °C maximum, with an altitude rating of 4000 m — useful if the cabinet sits in a high-altitude plant or a rooftop installation where derating is a concern. The enclosure is NEMA Open Type with IP20 protection, so it needs a clean, dry environment or a proper cabinet.
I/O, communication, and control unit included
The module ships with the control unit included — no separate purchase needed for basic operation. It carries 2 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 6 digital inputs, and 2 digital outputs, which is enough for a local speed reference, a feedback transducer, and a handful of run/stop commands. Communication is over CAN, so if your line uses a CANopen or proprietary CAN-based fieldbus, this module talks natively; for Ethernet-based networks you'll need an adapter or a different variant. Standby loss is 423 W — not negligible, so factor it into cabinet cooling. Sound level is 75 dB(A), which is audible in a quiet control room but typical for a drive this size. The battery pack is two CR2032 lithium coin cells (220 mAh, 3 V each) for the real-time clock and parameter backup; they're standard replacements.
