The 3AXD50000120970: Normal-use (Pn 11 kW, In 25 A) covers constant-torque applications. Heavy-duty use (PhD 7.5 kW, IhD 17 A) applies for higher overload cycles. Light-overload use (PlD 11 kW, IlD 24 A) is the same power as normal but with slightly lower continuous current.
Rated for ambient up to +55 °C and 5–95 % RH non-condensing. Altitude ceiling 4000 m without derating, which covers most installations outside high-mountain sites. Sound level 57 dB(A) at full load — noticeable in a quiet room but unremarkable on a production floor. Standby loss 39 W; factor that into enclosure cooling if the drive sits idle for long periods.
Two analog inputs, two analog outputs, six digital inputs, two digital outputs — enough for basic speed reference, feedback, and run/stop control without an expansion module. CAN protocol on board for drive-to-drive or PLC communication over a CANopen network. No onboard Industrial Ethernet port, so if you need PROFINET or EtherNet/IP, plan for an optional fieldbus adapter. The control unit is included in the delivery.
Power consumption and efficiency
At rated output the drive draws 822 W from the line (Pcons). Apparent power output is 17 kV·A. Power factor is unity (1.0) — the active front end of the low-harmonic design keeps PF near 1 across the load range, which saves on upstream transformer and cable sizing compared to a 6-pulse drive with a DC choke.
