It runs on 3-phase 380...500 V input at 50/60 Hz and is rated for UL light-overload use at 3 A / 1.5 Hp (480 V) or heavy-duty at 2.1 A / 1 Hp. The enclosure is IP21 with a NEMA Type 1 rating, suited for indoor panel mounting where drips and falling dirt are the main concerns.
The UL light-overload rating (3 A, 1.5 Hp) is the one to size against for typical variable-torque loads like fans and pumps — it gives you headroom over the heavy-duty figure (2.1 A, 1 Hp), which applies to constant-torque or high-starting-duty applications. The 380...500 V input range covers common 400 V and 480 V three-phase networks without a transformer. Frame R1 is the smallest mechanical package in the ACS580 family; check gland-plate space and DIN-rail or backplate mounting provisions before panel layout.
Integration Notes
The built-in disconnect means simplifies panel wiring — no separate disconnect switch required upstream for the drive branch circuit. IP21 and NEMA Type 1 mean it's clean enough for a ventilated electrical room but not for washdown areas.
