Drive module for 22 kW motor loads
The ABB 3AXD50000814534 is an ACS180-series LV AC machinery drive module rated for 22 kW normal-use output power at 50.0 A on a 400 V three-phase supply. That 50 A normal-use current handles a standard 22 kW induction motor driving pumps, fans, or conveyors inside a cabinet. Input voltage range is 380 to 480 V at 47 to 63 Hz, so it lands cleanly on European or North American 400 V class mains without a transformer. Heavy-duty and light-overload ratings both sit at 22 kW, with output currents of 45.0 A and 48.0 A respectively. Under UL listing the heavy-duty and light-overload power both come in at 30 Hp at 460 V, drawing 42.0 A.
I/O and fieldbus for panel integration
This module carries 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs, plus 2 analog inputs and 1 analog output — enough for basic run/stop, speed reference, and feedback without an expansion card. Communication is via MODBUS over RS-485; there is no onboard Industrial Ethernet, so if the line uses PROFINET or EtherNet/IP, a separate option module goes into the slot. Frame size R4 determines the physical footprint and mounting hole pattern. Standby loss is 38 W, so a small cabinet fan is enough for thermal management at the 40 °C maximum ambient. Sound level is 69 dB(A) — noticeable but not deafening in a machine cell.
SCIP number a7e9add0-620e-4316-8bd6-c358d91bc66b is registered for Finland. UL listing covers heavy-duty and light-overload use at 30 Hp, 42.0 A, 460 V.
