The Schneider Electric A9D53632 is an Acti9 iDPN Vigi residual-current circuit breaker (RCBO) — one module wide, combining overcurrent and earth-leakage protection in a single 1P+N package. Rated 32 A with a C-curve magnetic trip (5–10 × In) and 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, it's sized for final subcircuits in residential or light-commercial distribution boards where you need both short-circuit and personnel protection without stacking separate devices.
The 6000 A Icn breaking capacity at 230–240 V AC (EN/IEC 61009-2-1) covers the vast majority of domestic and small commercial service entrances — it safely interrupts a fault up to that level without welding or exploding. The 30 mA earth-leakage threshold is the standard for personal shock protection; it will catch a live-to-ground fault through a person before ventricular fibrillation current is reached. Thermal-magnetic trip technology gives you a bimetal strip for overload (slow, time-inverse) and a solenoid for short-circuit (instantaneous above the magnetic threshold). That's the workhorse mechanism for this class — no electronics to fail, no auxiliary power needed.
Panel integration
Clips onto standard DIN rail (EN 60715) — 36 mm wide, 85 mm tall, 73 mm deep. The single-pole + neutral layout puts the neutral on the left; the 9 mm connection pitch between phase and neutral matches the Acti9 busbar system. Terminals accept 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible, with a 15 mm strip length and 2 N·m tightening torque.
