The Schneider Electric A9F03606 is an Acti9 iC60N miniature circuit-breaker (MCB) with a 6 A rated current, 1P+N poles, and a B-curve trip characteristic. The B curve means magnetic tripping occurs at 4 x In (±20 %) — so at roughly 24 A fault current the breaker clears fast, making it a good fit for resistive loads like lighting or small heaters where inrush is low. The breaking capacity hits 36 kA Icu at 12...60 V AC (EN/IEC 60947-2) and 10 kA Icu at 220...240 V AC; the IEC 60898-1 rating is 6000 A Icn at 230 V AC — enough for most residential and light commercial distribution boards.
Snaps onto a DIN rail (mounting support: DIN rail). At 36 mm wide (4 x 9 mm pitches), it occupies two standard module spaces in the enclosure. Terminals accept 1...25 mm² rigid or 1...16 mm² flexible wire; strip length is 14 mm. IP20 rated — fine for dry indoor panels, not for washdown or outdoor use.
Pollution degree 3 (industrial environment). Overvoltage category IV. Utilisation category A.
Durability and environmental
Rated for 10,000 electrical cycles and 20,000 mechanical cycles. The thermal-magnetic trip unit covers both overload and short-circuit protection. Separate earth-leakage protection block can be added if needed.
