What this MCB does on the line
Two poles, thermal-magnetic trip, rated 4 A continuous. The D-curve magnetic trip fires at 12 x In (±20 %), so a 4 A breaker holds through 48 A inrush peaks without nuisance tripping. Breaking capacity: 50 kA Icu at 415 V AC (EN/IEC 60947-2) and 10 kA Icn at 400 V (EN/IEC 60898-1). The dual standard means it qualifies for both industrial distribution panels (60947-2) and final sub-circuits (60898-1) — one part covers both, which simplifies BOM management.
Width is 36 mm (4 x 9 mm pitches), depth 78.5 mm, height 91 mm. That 36 mm footprint for a 2-pole breaker is standard — no surprises when laying out a multi-way distribution board. Tightening torque 2 N·m. Wire strip length 14 mm. IP20 finger-safe terminals — fine for enclosed panels; not rated for wet environments.
Dual-rated to EN/IEC 60947-2 (industrial) and EN/IEC 60898-1 (household/residential). Isolation-capable per both standards. Limitation class 3. Suitability for isolation marked on the device.
