The A9F07170 is a 1-pole Acti9 iC60H miniature circuit breaker rated at 0.5 A with a C curve (magnetic trip at 8 x In ±20 %). The 70 kA Icu breaking capacity at 240 V AC (per EN/IEC 60947-2) is its real fault-interruption muscle — it can safely interrupt a 70,000 A prospective fault without welding contacts or exploding the case. That rating matters if this breaker sits downstream of a large transformer or in a high-fault-capacity panel; the 10,000 A Icn per EN/IEC 60898-1 is the domestic-standard rating for the same part. Overvoltage category IV and pollution degree 3 mean the breaker is designed for the main distribution board at the service entrance, not just sub-panels. It tolerates the transient overvoltages and conductive dust typical of industrial switchboards. Dual certification to both EN/IEC 60947-2 (industrial) and EN/IEC 60898-1 (domestic) gives it a broader application scope than an MCB carrying only one standard.
Deployment and integration
At 18 mm wide (2 x 9 mm pitches), it occupies one modular space in a distribution board. The double terminals accept 1–25 mm² rigid or 1–16 mm² flexible copper; strip length is 14 mm, tighten to 2 N·m. The toggle handle and trip indicator give local visual status. IP20 finger-safe terminals suit enclosed panels — not for wet or washdown environments.
