The B-curve means the magnetic trip operates at 4 x In ±20 % — so between 19.2 A and 28.8 A — making it the standard choice for resistive or general-purpose loads where inrush is low. It is dual-rated to EN/IEC 60898-1 (for household/similar installations) and EN/IEC 60947-2 (for industrial applications), which gives it a 10 kA Icn at 415 V AC under the 60898 standard and a 36 kA Icu at 133 V AC under 60947-2. That 36 kA figure is the ultimate breaking capacity at the low-voltage end of its range — useful where fault current is high but the service voltage stays under 133 V AC.
