The Schneider Electric A9F58106 is a 1-pole Acti9 IKQ miniature circuit breaker rated 6 A with a D tripping curve, meaning the magnetic release operates at 10 to 14 times the rated current — sized for loads with high inrush such as small motors, transformers, or lighting ballasts where a B or C curve would nuisance-trip on startup. Its 10 kA Icn breaking capacity at 240 V AC (EN 60898-1) and 7.5 kA Ics service breaking capacity at the same voltage give it enough fault-interrupting headroom for most residential and light commercial distribution boards fed from a typical utility transformer. The thermal-magnetic trip unit provides overload protection via the bimetal element and short-circuit protection via the solenoid — no earth-leakage function integrated, so any residual-current protection must come from a separate RCCB or RCBO downstream.
Terminals accept 1 to 25 mm² rigid or 1 to 16 mm² flexible cable at the bottom connection; tighten to 2 N·m with a strip length of 14 mm. The toggle actuator provides manual on/off control, and a trip indicator shows the breaker has operated on fault. Padlockable for lockout/tagout during maintenance.
Rated for 10,000 electrical and 20,000 mechanical cycles — suitable for frequent switching applications where the breaker also serves as a disconnect under load.
