63 A C-curve MCB for distribution panels
The Schneider Electric A9F68363 is a 3-pole Acti9 iT60N miniature circuit breaker rated 63 A with a C-curve trip characteristic, designed for distribution applications in commercial and industrial panels.
This breaker carries dual certification to EN/IEC 60898-1 and EN/IEC 60947-2, giving two sets of breaking capacity figures. Under the industrial standard (60947-2), the ultimate breaking capacity Icu reaches 36 kA at 12–133 V AC, 20 kA at 220–240 V AC, 10 kA at 380–415 V AC, and 6 kA at 440 V AC. The limitation class is 3 per EN/IEC 60898-1, meaning it restricts let-through energy enough to protect downstream equipment in most fault scenarios. The 6 kA Icu at 440 V AC is the weakest link in the curve — if your panel feeds a 440 V bus with available fault current above that, you need a higher-rated upstream breaker or a current-limiting fuse ahead of this device. At 400 V, the 10 kA Icn aligns with typical commercial panel specs.
Terminals accept 1–35 mm² rigid or 1–25 mm² flexible copper; strip length is 14 mm. The IP20 B finger-safe enclosure (IEC 60529) covers the terminals, but the busbar area remains exposed — plan for a dead-front cover or shrouded busbar in the panel layout. Operating temperature range is -35 to 70 °C, storage -40 to 85 °C, with 95 % relative humidity tolerance and tropicalisation level 2 per IEC 60068-2-78. Suitable for non-condensing environments in most indoor industrial settings.
