Arc fault detection circuit breaker, 1P+N, 10 A, C curve
The Schneider Electric A9FDB610 is an Acti9 iDPN N Arc arc fault detection circuit breaker (AFDD) — a single-module (36 mm wide) 1P+N device that combines overcurrent protection with series arc fault detection per IEC 62606. Rated 10 A at 30 °C with a C curve (magnetic trip 5...10 x In), it breaks 6000 A Icn at 230 V AC 50 Hz (IEC 60898-1). The thermal-magnetic trip unit handles both overload and short-circuit; the arc-fault electronics monitor the downstream circuit for dangerous series arcs and trip the breaker when detected.
The 1P+N format (switched phase, switched neutral) isolates both poles on a fault, which is required in some national wiring regs. Limitation class 3 (IEC 60898-1) means it lets through less energy during a short-circuit, helping downstream selectivity.
The 9 mm pitch between phase and neutral terminals matches the Acti9 busbar system. Tunnel-type terminals accept up to 16 mm² rigid or 10 mm² flexible (single cable), or 2 × 2.5 mm². IP20 finger-safe terminals. The toggle switch gives ON/OFF/trip indication.
The A9FDB610 is listed as current production (active lifecycle). The Acti9 range is widely specified, so cross-referencing to a panel BOM is straightforward.
