The Schneider Electric A9K24204 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Acti9 iK60N series, rated 4 A with a C-curve trip characteristic. It is a thermal-magnetic MCB designed for distribution in residential and commercial final circuits, built and certified to EN/IEC 60898-1. The C-curve (magnetic tripping limit 5 to 10 x In) means it is sized for inductive loads like small motors, fluorescent lighting, and transformers where inrush current is moderate — not for pure resistive loads (B-curve) or heavy motor starts (D-curve). The 4 A rating at 30 °C ambient covers low-current sub-circuits such as lighting groups or control transformers. Breaking capacity is 6000 A Icn at 400 V AC, which is the standard domestic/commercial fault level for this class. The 2-pole version switches both phase and neutral, with both poles protected.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 36 mm width (4 module pitches of 9 mm). Occupies two standard DIN-rail positions in the distribution board. Toggle actuator with ON/OFF visual indication; padlocking device available for lockout/tagout. Tightening torque 2 N·m, strip length 14 mm.
