Acti9 iK60N — 25 A C-Curve MCB for Distribution Boards
The Schneider Electric A9K24625 is a miniature circuit breaker from the Acti9 iK60N series, designed for AC distribution networks at 50/60 Hz. It is a single-pole-plus-neutral (1P+N) device rated 25 A at 30 °C with a C-curve trip characteristic (magnetic tripping limit 5...10 x In), making it suitable for protecting general-purpose circuits with moderate inrush currents — typical for lighting, socket outlets, and small motor loads in commercial and residential panels. Rated breaking capacity is 6000 A Icn at 230 V AC, conforming to EN/IEC 60898-1. The trip unit is thermal-magnetic: the thermal bimetal protects against sustained overloads, while the solenoid coil provides instantaneous magnetic protection on short-circuits.
This 1P+N form factor saves one module width compared to a 2-pole breaker, which matters when filling a distribution board with multiple circuits. Dimensions are 85 mm height and 78.5 mm depth, fitting standard enclosure depths. The neutral is on the left side of the unit; the tunnel-type terminals accept 1...25 mm² rigid or 1...16 mm² flexible cable, with a tightening torque of 2 N.m and a strip length of 14 mm. IP20 rated for finger-safe installation inside an enclosed panel.
Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 440 V AC. Overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2 are standard for fixed-installation distribution boards. The toggle provides local ON/OFF indication; a padlocking device can be fitted for lockout/tagout procedures.
