The Schneider Electric A9L16447 is a Type 2 surge arrester from the Acti9 iPRD range, designed for electrical distribution networks. It uses MOV technology to clamp transient overvoltages on a 3-phase TN-C earthing system, with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 340 V L/PE and a protection level below 1.1 kV. Rated operational voltage is 400 V AC (+/- 10 %) at 50/60 Hz, and it handles a maximum discharge current of 20 kA common mode (L/PE). The nominal discharge current is 5 kA (L/PE) and 5 kA (N/PE). The unit is a 3-pole (3P) device with pluggable cartridges, tunnel-type terminals accepting 2.5 to 35 mm² conductors, and a tightening torque of 2.5 N.m. The enclosure is white (RAL 9003) and carries an IK03 impact rating per IEC 62262.
