The Schneider Electric A9N18353 is a 4-pole miniature circuit-breaker from the Acti9 C120N series, rated 80 A at 30 °C with a B-curve trip characteristic (magnetic tripping between 3 and 5 times In). It is a thermal-magnetic device, meaning the bimetal handles overloads and the solenoid handles short-circuits — no electronics to drift or fail in high ambient heat. The 10 kA Icn at 400 V AC (per EN/IEC 60898-1) and up to 20 kA Icu at 240 V AC (per EN/IEC 60947-2) tell you it can clear a fault without welding contacts or venting arc gas into the panel, which matters when you are coordinating downstream breakers in a distribution board.
Clip-on mounting on a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, 12 module pitches wide (108 mm). Tunnel terminals accept up to 50 mm² rigid or 35 mm² flexible cable; stripping length is 15 mm, torque to 3.5 N·m.
Dual-certified to EN/IEC 60947-2 (industrial) and EN/IEC 60898-1 (household/commercial). Suitability for isolation is confirmed (IEC 60947-2). Lifecycle status is current production.
