The Schneider Electric A9N19650 is a DPN Vigi earth leakage circuit breaker from the Acti9 range, combining overcurrent and residual current protection in a single 1P+N module. Rated 4 A at 30 °C with a Type B tripping curve and 30 mA earth leakage sensitivity, it covers the common residential and light commercial distribution outgoer where both short-circuit and ground-fault protection are needed on a single pole.
The 6 kA Icn breaking capacity at 230 V AC (EN 61009) is the standard domestic and light commercial fault-interruption level across most of Europe and Asia — adequate for final subcircuits where the prospective short-circuit current stays under that threshold. The 4 A rating and B curve (magnetic trip 3–5 × In) suit lighting and general-purpose socket circuits with low inrush; a C curve would be needed for motor or transformer loads. The 30 mA residual sensitivity is the standard for personal protection against indirect contact (EN 61008/61009). For circuits with variable-speed drives, LED drivers, or EV chargers that generate non-sinusoidal leakage, a Type A or Type F RCD would be required.
Snaps onto DIN rail (EN 60715) and occupies 4 × 9 mm pitches — 36 mm wide. The 1P+N format switches the phase and switches the neutral without overcurrent protection on the neutral pole, which is standard for single-phase final circuits in many markets. Tunnel terminals accept up to 16 mm² rigid or 10 mm² flexible cable, enough for a 4 A outgoer with voltage drop margins.
