It protects a single pole plus neutral (1P+N) in 50 Hz AC distribution networks, using a thermal-magnetic trip unit that responds to overloads and short-circuits.
Breaking capacity and dual-standard certification
This breaker carries two breaking capacity ratings under separate standards. At 230 V AC, the Icn (rated short-circuit capacity per EN/IEC 60898-1) is 6000 A — the value used for domestic and similar installations. Under IEC 60947-2, the Icu (ultimate breaking capacity) reaches 10 kA at 230...240 V AC, which is the figure an industrial panel designer references for SCCR coordination. Dual certification means the same unit satisfies both a residential distribution board spec and a control-panel short-circuit rating, simplifying BOM consolidation.
The 18 mm width per pole — two 9 mm pitches — keeps the 1P+N assembly at 18 mm total, fitting standard distribution board spacing.
