The Schneider Electric A9N2P50CGN is an Acti9 xC60 miniature circuit breaker rated 50 A with a C-curve (magnetic trip 5–10 × In) and two protected poles. It clips onto a 35 mm DIN rail, occupies 36 mm width (4 × 9 mm pitches), and breaks up to 10 kA Icn at 240 V AC or 415 V AC per IS/IEC 60898-1.
The 50 A rated current (In) and C-curve suit general-purpose branch circuits with moderate inrush — think lighting banks, socket outlets, or small motor loads. The thermal-magnetic trip unit handles overloads thermally and short-circuits magnetically; the C-curve's 5–10× In magnetic threshold avoids nuisance tripping on capacitor or motor start currents while still clearing hard faults fast. Breaking capacity of 10 kA at both 240 V and 415 V AC covers most utility-side fault levels in IEC 60898-1 territories; if your point-of-supply SCCR exceeds 10 kA, you'll need an upstream current-limiting device or a higher-rated breaker. The IP20 finger-safe terminals are fine inside a closed enclosure; for outdoor or washdown installs, the breaker lives behind a higher-rated enclosure door.
The toggle gives local ON/OFF indication, and the contact position indicator confirms the state visually.
