The D curve's magnetic trip threshold of 10 to 14 times In means it tolerates the inrush current of small motors, transformers, and solenoid loads without nuisance tripping — the 10 A rating handles steady-state draw, while the high short-time magnetic pickup passes the starting surge. Breaking capacity is 10 kA Icu at 230 V AC per IEC 60947-2, and 6 kA Icn per IEC 60898-1. The 6 kA rating applies under the domestic-standard 60898-1 test sequence; for panel design, use the 60947-2 value. This is a thermal-magnetic breaker with suitability for isolation per IEC 60947-2, meaning it provides a visible break and meets the touch-safe gap requirements for a disconnecting means. The ON/OFF and trip indicator on the toggle give local status without needing a voltmeter.
Tunnel terminals accept 1 to 16 mm² rigid or 1 to 10 mm² flexible copper; strip length 14 mm, tightening torque 2 N·m.
