The Schneider Electric A9P64725 is a 25 A, D-curve miniature circuit-breaker from the Acti9 iC40N series, built for distribution panels where high inrush loads—motor circuits, transformers, or lighting banks—need a magnetic trip that holds past the start surge. The D curve trips at 10–14 × In (per EN/IEC 60898-1) and 12 × In ±20 % (per EN/IEC 60947-2), so it rides through the starting current of a motor or the magnetizing pulse of a transformer without nuisance tripping on the thermal-magnetic element.
Rated breaking capacity is 10 kA Icu at 400 V AC per EN/IEC 60947-2 and 6 kA Icn at 400 V AC per EN/IEC 60898-1. That dual rating matters: the 10 kA figure governs the MCB's ability to interrupt a fault and still be usable after clearing it (the Icu rating), while the 6 kA Icn is the service breaking capacity under the domestic-standard 60898-1. For an industrial panel fed by a transformer with a prospective fault current under 10 kA, this breaker clears it without cascading upstream.
Clip-on mount to DIN rail, 3P+N configuration with neutral on the left. Takes 9 mm pitches for 6 modules. Terminals are tunnel type: 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible, torque to 2 N·m. IP20 on the terminals, IP40 on the modular enclosure — fine for a clean indoor panel, but if this is going near crusher vibration or abrasive dust, the enclosure around it needs to seal; the breaker itself shrugs off the mechanical durability at 20,000 cycles and electrical durability at 10,000 cycles.
