The A9TAA2225 is an Acti9 Active ARC iC60 arc fault detection add-on block from Schneider Electric, rated 25 A at 230 V AC on a 50 Hz network. It clips onto the left side of an iC60 MCB (neutral left) and adds series arc-fault detection per EN/IEC 62606, plus overvoltage, earth leakage, and overload event management. The local LED signals ON, OFF, fault trip, and arc fault diagnostics — no need to pull a meter to see what tripped it.
The 25 A rated current (In) and 230 V operational voltage (Ue) define the load side: this block monitors the downstream circuit for arc faults and disconnects when it detects one. The 275 V threshold tripping voltage (+/- 5 V) means it catches sustained overvoltage events that could start a fire — not a transient spike, a genuine overvoltage condition. Accuracy on the measurement side is +/- 2 % for voltage and current, +/- 5 % for power, which is tight enough for energy monitoring via the EcoStruxure Panel Server concentrators (Advanced, Entry, or Universal). Electrical durability is 10,000 cycles at 230 V AC per IEC 62606; mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles. That means the arc fault detection electronics and the switching mechanism are rated for the full service life of a typical distribution board — the mechanical cycles outlast the electrical because arc-fault trips are infrequent. Clip-on mounting on DIN rail, 2 module pitches (9 mm each), so it occupies 18 mm of rail width. Terminal capacity is 1...10 mm² flexible or 1...16 mm² rigid, tunnel type, with a 2 N.m tightening torque and 14 mm wire strip length.
