The Schneider Electric A9TDFC625 is an Acti9 Active iCV40 ARC residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO) and integrated arc fault detection. It is a 1P+N device rated at 25 A with a Type C tripping curve, designed for final-circuit protection in AC networks at 50 Hz. The breaking capacity is 6000 A Icn per EN/IEC 61009-2-1 and 10 kA Icu per EN/IEC 60947-2, which means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to those levels without upstream cascading — a key selectivity consideration for panel coordination.
Arc fault detection and measurement
The A9TDFC625 includes arc fault detection (the "ARC" in the name) as an integrated function, distinguishing it from a standard RCBO. It measures voltage, active power, current, and power factor with accuracy of ±2 % for voltage and current, and ±5 % for power. The local signalling includes a fault-trip LED for arc fault diagnostics, which supports troubleshooting without additional equipment.
The unit clips onto a DIN rail (35 mm) and occupies 36 mm width (4 x 9 mm pitches). For panel builders: the 73 mm depth fits standard distribution boards, and the white RAL 9003 finish matches the Acti9 family aesthetic.
