Arc fault detection circuit breaker — 16 A, C-curve, 1P+N
Breaking capacity is 3 kA Icn per EN/IEC 60898-1 and 10 kA Icu per EN/IEC 60947-2 at 230 V AC 50 Hz — the Icu figure is the one that matters for coordination with an upstream MCCB in a panel. Limitation class 3 means it lets through less energy during a fault, helping downstream selectivity. Tunnel terminals accept 1...16 mm² rigid or 1...10 mm² flexible, with a 2 N·m torque spec. IP20 finger-safe front, suitable for enclosed distribution boards.
Arc fault diagnostics and local signalling
Local signalling includes ON/OFF toggle position plus a fault-trip LED and a dedicated arc fault diagnostic LED — the arc fault LED distinguishes an arc event from a simple overcurrent trip, which saves troubleshooting time on a line-down call. The toggle is the control type; cable entry is top and bottom. Suitability for isolation is marked yes, and a contact position indicator is fitted — so the breaker can serve as a local disconnecting means for the outgoing circuit where regulations require visible isolation.
Tropicalisation severity B per IEC 60068-2-30 for 28 days means the internal components are tested against humidity cycling — relevant for installations in non-conditioned enclosures or coastal environments. Pollution degree 2 (non-conductive pollution only) is the standard for clean indoor panels. Electrical and mechanical durability are both rated 20 000 cycles — that is the operational life under load for the electromechanical mechanism, not the arc fault electronics which have no wear mechanism.
