The 6 kA Icn at 230 V AC (EN/IEC 60898-1) and 10 kA Icu (EN/IEC 60947-2) cover the fault-clearing demands of residential and light-commercial final subcircuits.

The 6 kA Icn is the service breaking capacity under IEC 60898-1 — adequate for domestic panels with a typical upstream fault level below 6 kA.
