Arc-fault MCB for final subcircuits
It combines overcurrent protection (thermal-magnetic, C-curve, 10 A rated) with series arc-fault detection per EN/IEC 62606, in a 1P+N (single-pole switched neutral) format. The 6 kA Icn at 230 V AC (EN/IEC 60898-1) and 10 kA Icu (EN/IEC 60947-2) cover the fault-clearing demands of residential and light-commercial final subcircuits.
The 6 kA Icn is the service breaking capacity under IEC 60898-1 — adequate for domestic panels with a typical upstream fault level below 6 kA. The 10 kA Icu (IEC 60947-2) is the ultimate breaking capacity for industrial backplanes where higher fault current is possible; the part can interrupt a 10 kA fault once and must then be replaced. Limitation class 3 means it lets through very little let-through energy (I²t) on a short-circuit, protecting downstream wiring and loads.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail (EN 60715). Width is 36 mm (4 x 9 mm pitches). Tunnel terminals accept 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible cable; strip length 14 mm, tighten to 2 N·m. Cable entry top and bottom. Neutral position left. IP20 finger-safe terminals. Tropicalisation severity B per IEC 60068-2-30 for 28 days — suitable for humid environments without condensation.
Arc-fault detection and diagnostics
Local signalling: ON/OFF toggle position plus a fault-trip LED and arc-fault diagnostic indicator. Event management covers overvoltage, earth leakage, overload, and series arc faults. Electrical data recording logs date/time and maintenance indicators — useful for post-fault analysis. Measurement accuracy: voltage ±2%, current ±2%, power ±5%.
