It combines two protection functions in one DIN-rail module: 40 A overcurrent protection and 30 mA earth leakage, plus series arc-fault detection. Rated for 230 V AC, 50 Hz networks, 2 poles, neutral left.
The 40 A rated current ([In]) sets the continuous load capacity — sized for a final subcircuit feeding lighting, socket outlets, or small equipment up to that ampacity. The 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity is the standard threshold for personal protection against indirect contact in residential and commercial final circuits. The residual current trip is instantaneous and voltage-independent, meaning it operates regardless of supply voltage — a reliability advantage over electronic RCDs that need line power to trip. The arc-fault detection meets EN/IEC 62606, the standard for AFDDs. It monitors the waveform for the high-frequency signature of a series arc (a loose connection or damaged conductor) and trips before the arc can start a fire. The device also complies with EN/IEC 61009-1 and 61009-2-1 for RCBOs. Pollution degree 2 covers normal indoor environments with non-conductive contamination.
Clip-on mounting to a standard DIN rail. The module occupies 2 x 9 mm pitches — 18 mm total width. Neutral is on the left.
Tropicalisation severity B per IEC 60068-2-30 for 28 days — handles high-humidity climates. IMQ quality label marks it for the Italian market. Maximum operating altitude 2000 m. Electrical durability: 10,000 cycles above 25 A, 20,000 cycles at or below 25 A. Mechanical durability: 20,000 cycles.
