The Schneider Electric A9V16425 is an Acti9 Vigi iC60 add-on residual current device (RCD) — a voltage-independent, Type AC earth-leakage module rated for 25 A at 230...415 V AC, 50/60 Hz, with a 500 mA sensitivity. It clips onto the outgoing side of a compatible iC60 MCB on a DIN rail, adding earth-leakage protection to the circuit. The 4P (four-pole) variant covers three-phase plus neutral networks. The earth-leakage protection is instantaneous (no intentional time delay), and the tripping technology is voltage independent — it will trip on residual current even if the mains voltage is lost, a critical safety feature for personnel protection.
Mounts via clip-on to a DIN rail. The 4P module occupies 6 x 9 mm pitches (54 mm width). Bottom tunnel-type terminals accept 1...25 mm² rigid or 1...16 mm² flexible conductors; strip length is 14 mm. A comb busbar is compatible on the bottom side for distribution. IP20 rated (finger-safe) on the body; IP40 when enclosed in a modular enclosure. The trip indicator provides local visual status of the RCD state.
Electromagnetic compatibility is verified with an 8/20 µs impulse withstand of 250 A per IEC 61009-1. The device is intended as an outgoer (load-side) protection element in a distribution board.
