The A9V29463 is a 4-pole add-on residual current device from the Acti9 Vigi iC60 range, rated 63 A with a 1000 mA Type A earth-leakage sensitivity. It clips onto the outgoing side of a compatible Acti9 iC60 MCB via screw connection, making it a modular RCD add-on rather than a standalone unit.
The 1000 mA sensitivity is deliberately high (standard socket circuits use 30 mA); this is for protection against fire risk from persistent earth faults on distribution circuits, not for personal shock protection. Type A detection covers sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, which covers most modern electronic loads (VFDs, switched-mode supplies) that generate pulsed leakage. The selective (S-type) time delay means it coordinates with downstream 30 mA RCDs — the downstream device trips first, avoiding a whole-panel blackout for a single fault. The 6 kV impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) and 8/20 µs 3000 A impulse current withstand confirm it survives surge events on the line side without nuisance tripping or damage.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 7 x 9 mm pitches wide (135 mm). The tunnel-type terminals on the bottom accept 1...35 mm² rigid or 1...25 mm² flexible cable, with a stripping length of 14 mm and tightening torque of 3.5 N·m. The bottom connection also accepts comb busbars, so you can feed multiple RCDs from a common bus without individual ring terminals. IP20 on the body, IP40 inside a modular enclosure — standard for panel installation, not for wet locations.
