It provides earth-leakage protection for the downstream circuit, tripping the MCB when leakage exceeds the 30 mA threshold. The 63 A rated current matches the MCB it attaches to, so the pair handles the full load current of the circuit. The Type A-SI (Super Immunised) classification means it detects sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, while being immune to nuisance tripping from high-frequency harmonics or transient surges — a requirement for circuits feeding electronic loads like VFDs, UPS systems, or IT equipment.
