The Schneider ATH630U55N4Z is an Altivar HVAC ATH600 drive sized for a 5.5 kW (7.5 hp) motor at normal duty on 380-480 V three-phase supply. Heavy-duty rating steps down to 4 kW (5 hp), so if your application cycles hard or runs a constant-torque load like a screw compressor, spec the heavy-duty line current — 7 A at 380 V — rather than the normal-duty 9.331 A figure. Integrated Class C2 EMC filter covers conducted emissions for most European panel builds; no external filter needed for standard EN/IEC 61800-3 environments.
Cabinet mount, vertical position only. Control wiring lands on open-style terminals; fieldbus connection is RJ45 for Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP on the 2-wire RS-485 physical layer. The relay outputs (three form-C sets) are good for 100,000 cycles each — fine for damper or valve end-switch feedback, but not for high-cycle pilot duty.
Built-in functions
The drive includes fire mode, forced fire mode, PID controller with three additional PID sets, damper control, underload detection for broken belt, scroll compressor management, skipped frequencies, catch on the fly, and cybersecure firmware update. If you are replacing an older Altivar 212 or 312, these functions cover the HVAC-specific sequences without an external controller.
