The ATV1200A125001010 is a medium-voltage variable frequency drive rated for 10.45 kW motor power, supplied from a 2970–3630 V AC line via a 48-pulse diode rectifier bridge. That input configuration draws 720 A line current and presents an apparent power of 12.5 MVA — numbers that define the upstream transformer and switchgear rating, not just the drive itself. The 48-pulse topology reduces line-side harmonics to levels that typically meet IEEE 519 without additional filtering, which saves cabinet space and avoids tuning hassles on weak grids. Prospective short-circuit current withstand is 31.5 kA for 150 ms — the drive can ride through a bolted fault on its input bus long enough for the upstream breaker to clear, without self-destructing.
Floor-standing enclosure — dimensions and site prep
The drive ships in a floor-standing enclosure with separate airflows for power and control sections. Dimensions are 3040 mm high, 15080 mm wide, 1600 mm deep — this is a room-sized assembly, not a cabinet you slide into a row. The width alone dictates a dedicated drive room or a reinforced slab. Cooling is forced convection moving 140,000 m³/h of air — plan for intake and exhaust louvres sized to that flow, plus acoustic treatment given the 80 dB noise level. Electrical connection uses M10 screw-type bars accepting up to 6 x 40 mm² per phase, entry from top or bottom. The cable gland plate must accommodate that cross-section.
Lifecycle and compliance — active production, CE marked
CE marking is in place, with compliance to EN/IEC 60204-11, EN/IEC 60529, EN/IEC 61800-3 (EMC), EN/IEC 61800-4, and EN/IEC 61800-5-1 (safety). The integrated EMC filter covers conducted emissions for the drive's rating class. Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1 and overvoltage category II — suitable for controlled indoor environments with non-conductive pollution.
