1304 kW motor drive — load profile and harmonic mitigation
Rated for 1304 kW motor power at 1560 kVA apparent power, with a 30-pulse diode rectifier input stage. The 30-pulse topology cancels the 5th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 17th, and 19th harmonics at the input, keeping total harmonic distortion low enough to meet IEEE 519 without a separate active filter in most installations. Supply voltage range is 2970-3630 V — this is a medium-voltage drive, not a 480 V unit. The output voltage tracks the supply (≤ supply voltage), so motor winding insulation must be rated for the full DC bus potential. Line current draw is 150 A at rated load.
Overload capability and cooling — sizing for the duty cycle
Two overload profiles are available: standard overload allows 1.2× In for 60 seconds and 1.5× In for 3 seconds; high overload allows 1.5× In for 60 seconds and 1.85× In for 3 seconds. The high-overload setting is the one to use for heavy-start loads like crushers or extruders — standard overload is adequate for centrifugal pumps and fans. Cooling is forced convection with separate air flows for the transformer and power cells. The standard-efficiency configuration moves 29,900 m³/h of air; the high-efficiency version moves 33,200 m³/h. Ambient temperature and altitude derating apply — above 1000 m, derate current 0.6 % per 100 m.
Physical footprint and installation constraints
Floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for the transformer and power cells. The standard-efficiency variant measures 3660 mm wide × 2820 mm high × 1500 mm deep; the high-efficiency variant is 3960 mm wide × 2820 mm high × 1600 mm deep. Operating position is vertical ±10 degrees — no side-mount or horizontal installation.
Compliance and isolation — standards coverage
CE marked, with compliance to EN/IEC 60204-11 (electrical equipment of machines), EN/IEC 60529 (enclosure protection), EN/IEC 61800-3 (EMC for drive systems), EN/IEC 61800-4 (drive performance), and EN/IEC 61800-5-1 (electrical safety). Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1 — suitable for controlled environments with non-conductive pollution. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits, with a dielectric strength of 20 kV AC between earth and power terminals. Overvoltage category II per EN/IEC 61800-5-1. Ground fault protection is integral to the drive.
