Floor-standing MV drive, 2006 kW, 36-pulse input
The ATV1200A26706363 is a Schneider Electric Altivar 1200 medium-voltage variable speed drive rated for 2006 kW motor power with a supply voltage range of 2970 to 3630 V. It uses a 36-pulse diode rectifier bridge on the input side, which significantly reduces line-side harmonics compared to 6- or 12-pulse topologies — a key advantage when connecting to weak grids or meeting IEEE 519 compliance without external filters. The drive is assembled in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for power and control sections, and forced convection cooling moves 23,100 m³/h of air through the cabinet.
Physical footprint and installation constraints
The enclosure measures 2670 mm high by 5170 mm wide (standard efficiency) or 5470 mm wide (high efficiency), with a uniform depth of 1700 mm for both variants. Power cable entry is via M10 bar-type terminals accepting up to 6 x 40 mm² conductors per phase, with entry from the bottom or top of the cabinet.
Overload capability and protection
The drive offers two overload profiles: standard overload withstands 1.2× In for 60 s or 1.5× In for 3 s; high overload profile handles 1.5× In for 60 s or 1.85× In for 3 s. Ground fault protection is integrated at the drive level, and the prospective line short-circuit current rating is 31.5 kA for 150 ms. Dielectric strength between earth and power terminals is 20 kV AC, with overvoltage category II per EN/IEC 61800-5-1 and pollution degree 2.
Control interfaces and I/O complement
Four software-configurable analogue inputs accept 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA signals at 24 V max with 250 Ω impedance; two analogue outputs of the same type are available. Six discrete inputs are standard, expandable to ten with an optional module. Control power requires an external 220 V AC supply at 3 kVA; the cooling fan runs from a separate 380 V AC supply, with optional external supplies for both.
