2780 kW medium-voltage drive with 30-pulse input
The ATV1200A33256060 is a Schneider Electric Altivar 1200 medium-voltage AC drive rated for 2780 kW motor power, supplied from a 2970-3630 V three-phase line. The 30-pulse diode rectifier bridge on the input stage delivers low harmonic distortion without an external filter — a key advantage for installations where IEEE 519 compliance is a requirement. Apparent power rating is 3325 kVA with a line current of 320 A. The drive handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors, with overload capability of 1.2 In for 60 s (standard overload) or 1.5 In for 60 s (high overload).
Floor-standing enclosure and cooling
The drive ships in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for the transformer and power cells. Dimensions are 2670 mm high by 5770 mm wide (standard efficiency) or 6070 mm wide (high efficiency), with depth at 1700 mm (high efficiency) or 1600 mm (standard efficiency). Forced convection cooling moves 29700 m³/h of air through the cabinet. The noise level at full load is 80 dB — plan for hearing protection if the drive is in a walk-in enclosure or near operator stations. The enclosure colour is grey RAL 7032. Electrical connection uses bar-type screw terminals M10, clamping capacity 6 x 40 mm², with cable entry from the bottom or top.
Control supply and I/O
External control supply is 220 V AC at 3 kVA; an optional 220 V AC/DC supply is available. The cooling fan requires a separate 380 V AC supply, also optional as an external feed. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits is standard. The drive has 4 software-configurable analogue inputs (0-20 mA / 4-20 mA, 250 Ohm impedance) and 1 analogue output of the same type. Discrete inputs are 6 standard, expandable to 10. The HMI is included as part of the product composition.
Standards, protection, and environmental limits
The drive carries CE marking and complies with EN/IEC 60204-11, EN/IEC 60529, EN/IEC 61800-3 (EMC), EN/IEC 61800-4, and EN/IEC 61800-5-1 (safety). Pollution degree is 2 per the safety standard, overvoltage category II. Integrated ground fault protection protects the drive. Dielectric strength is 20 kV AC between earth and power terminals. Prospective short-circuit current rating is 31.5 kA for 150 ms. Operating altitude range is 1000-2000 m with current derating of 0.6% per 100 m above 1000 m. Relative humidity is 0-90% standard, 0-95% optional. Operating position is vertical ±10 degrees. Vibration resistance is 4.9 m/s² at 10-50 Hz.
