Cabinet dimensions and site planning
The ATV1200A47706363 ships in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows. Standard-efficiency units measure 1700 mm deep by 6670 mm wide by 2740 mm high; high-efficiency variants add 100 mm in depth and 300 mm in width. Forced convection cooling moves 49,800 m³/h of air through the cabinet. The 80 dB noise level means hearing protection is required near the drive during operation.
Power section and overload capability
Rated for 3737 kW motor power with 4470 kVA apparent power and 410 A line current. The 36-pulse diode rectifier bridge on the input side reduces line harmonics compared to a 6- or 12-pulse topology. Overload withstand is 1.2× In for 60 s and 1.5× In for 3 s under standard duty; high-overload mode pushes to 1.5× In for 60 s and 1.85× In for 3 s. This covers both normal starting profiles and short-duration peak loads.
Input voltage and supply requirements
Supply voltage limits are 2970 to 3630 V AC. The drive requires an external 220 V AC, 3 kVA control supply and an internal 380 V AC fan supply; both can be sourced externally if needed. Prospective line short-circuit current is 31.5 kA for 150 ms. The main power connection uses M10 screw-type terminals accepting up to 6 × 40 mm² cable per phase, entry from bottom or top.
I/O complement and control integration
Four software-configurable analogue inputs (0–20 mA / 4–20 mA, 24 V max, 250 Ω impedance) and two analogue outputs of the same type. Discrete inputs number six standard, expandable to ten via an option. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits. The drive supports both asynchronous and synchronous motors, with a speed range of 20 to 100 %.
Environmental limits and installation conditions
Operating altitude from 1000 to 2000 m requires current derating of 0.6 % per 100 m above 1000 m. Relative humidity range is 0–90 % standard, 0–95 % optional. Vibration resistance is 4.9 m/s² at 10–50 Hz. Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1, overvoltage category II. The drive must be installed vertically within ±10°.
Listed as current production. CE marked, compliant with EN/IEC 60204-11, EN/IEC 60529, EN/IEC 61800-3, EN/IEC 61800-4, and EN/IEC 61800-5-1. Integrated EMC filter is standard. The drive contains a phase-shifting transformer, medium-voltage arrestors, cooling fans, an HMI, and 18 power cells. Ground fault protection is built in.
