36-pulse VFD for 6 kV-class motors
The ATV1200A75506666 is a Schneider Electric Altivar 1200 medium-voltage AC drive rated for 6312 kW motor power at 7550 kVA apparent power, supplied from a 2970...3630 V line via a 36-pulse diode rectifier bridge. This is a floor-standing drive in a grey RAL 7032 enclosure with separate air flows for power and control sections, designed for asynchronous motor control in high-power applications like pumps, fans, and compressors.
Overload profile and protection
The drive handles 1.2× In for 60 s and 1.5× In for 3 s under standard overload; for high-overload duty it sustains 1.5× In for 60 s and 1.85× In for 3 s — the higher short-term ceiling matters for starting high-inertia loads like large fans or centrifuges. Ground-fault protection is built into the drive, and the 20 kV AC dielectric strength between earth and power terminals gives headroom for the 3.3 kV-class supply.
Environmental and installation constraints
The drive occupies a 3040 mm height × 9470 mm width × 1600 mm depth footprint (standard efficiency) and requires 90000 m³/h of cooling air via forced convection. Operating altitude up to 1000 m is full-rated; above that, derate 0.6 % per 100 m up to 2000 m. The unit must be installed vertically ±10° and the ambient relative humidity kept between 0...90 %.
CE marked, with compliance to EN/IEC 60204-11, EN/IEC 60529, EN/IEC 61800-3, EN/IEC 61800-4, and EN/IEC 61800-5-1. Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1, overvoltage category II. The drive includes an integrated EMC filter and electrical isolation between power and control sections.
Control interface and I/O
Four software-configurable analogue inputs (0...20 mA / 4...20 mA, 24 V max, 250 Ω impedance) and one analogue output of the same type. Six discrete inputs standard, expandable to ten. Control supply is 220 V AC, 3 kVA external; the cooling fan runs on 380 V AC internal supply. An optional external 220 V AC/DC control supply and external 380 V AC fan supply are available.
