The ATV212WU22N4CZH28 is a Schneider Altivar 212 variable speed drive rated for 2.2 kW / 3 hp asynchronous motor loads on a 380…480 V three-phase supply. Line current draws 4.6 A at 380 V and 3.7 A at 480 V, with apparent power of 3.9 kVA at 380 V. The integrated Class C1 EMC filter covers EN 61800-3 environments 1 and 2 categories C1 through C3, so it meets residential and industrial emission limits without an external filter — saves a DIN-rail slot and a wiring step. Switching frequency is adjustable from 6 to 16 kHz; above 12 kHz you derate the output current. Speed range runs 1 to 10 with ±10 % slip compensation from 0.2 Tn to Tn. Torque accuracy sits at ±15 %. The drive includes an adjustable PI regulator for closed-loop process control — pump, fan, conveyor applications where you want a setpoint, not just open-loop speed.
Dimensions are 215 mm wide, 297 mm tall, 192 mm deep — that depth (192 mm) is the key number for enclosure depth clearance; a standard 300 mm deep panel leaves you about 100 mm behind the door for wiring and finger clearance. Assembly style is with a heat sink, so it needs free air circulation around the fins. Operating position is vertical ±10°, pollution degree 3 per IEC 61800-5-1. Relative humidity range 5…95 % non-condensing. Altitude derating starts above 1000 m; corner-grounded distribution networks are limited to 2000 m.
Communications and I/O
Physical interface is 2-wire RS-485 with Modbus RTU frame at 9600 or 19200 bps, 8 bits, 1 stop, parity configurable. Supports up to 247 addresses on the bus. An optional LonWorks communication card is available. Analog inputs are switch-configurable for voltage (0…10 V DC, 30 kΩ impedance) or current (0…20 mA, 250 Ω), 10-bit resolution. One input also accepts PTC probes for motor thermal protection.
