4300 kW motor drive, 5380 kVA apparent power
This is the Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV6000C538A6666ND, a medium-voltage AC drive from the ATV6000 series. It's built for big loads: 4300 kW normal duty, 3740 kW heavy duty, with a 5380 kVA apparent power rating. The 30-pulse diode rectifier front end keeps input harmonics under 3% THDI per IEEE 519-1992, and the power factor sits at 96% — no extra filtering or PF correction gear needed for most installations.
Line current and power losses — heavy vs normal duty
Line current draw is 406 A in heavy-duty service and 471 A under normal duty — the difference reflects the headroom built into the IGBT inverter cells for overload capacity. Power losses run 141.6 kW at heavy duty and 162.8 kW at normal duty. That's the heat you need to move through the forced-convection cooling system, so the floor-standing enclosure's ventilation path matters.
