The ATV6000D690A1111NA3 is a medium-voltage drive from the Altivar Process ATV6000 range, built into a floor-standing enclosure. It's sized for permanent-magnet, asynchronous, or synchronous motors up to 550 kW under normal duty or 440 kW under heavy duty, with an apparent power rating of 690 kVA. Line current sits at 29 A for heavy duty and 36.3 A for normal duty. The 54-pulse diode rectifier bridge keeps input THDI below 3% per IEEE 519-1992, so you're not fighting harmonics from the start.
Power losses run 19.2 kW in heavy duty and 24 kW in normal duty, which drives the forced-convection cooling requirement and the 80 dB noise level; plan for that in a panel or room where sound matters. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 on the control side and C4 on the power side — that's a C4 industrial environment filter, so you're covered for the tougher conducted-emission limits without an add-on box.
Integration notes
Cable entry is at the bottom. The control block has two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP / Modbus TCP and one RJ45 for Modbus serial. Option slots A and B accept communication modules (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, CANopen) and encoder interfaces (digital, analog, resolver, HTL). Three configurable relay outputs handle fault and sequence signaling. The 10-inch LCD touch screen is multi-language, so commissioning and diagnostics don't need a laptop. Supply for the control circuit can be 100–240 V AC or 120–370 V DC; the fan runs on a separate 400 V AC supply.
