What this ATV6A0C20Q6 covers
The ATV6A0C20Q6 is a Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 200 kW at 690 V in normal duty, 160 kW in heavy duty. It handles asynchronous and synchronous motors, with line current at 200 A (normal) or 163 A (heavy). This is the modular version — separate power module and control unit shipped together with mechanical mounting kits and fuses. It means you can swap the control section without pulling the whole frame if a fieldbus card fails.
Ratings that matter on the floor
Integrated EMC filter to IEC 61800-3 category C3 saves a line reactor or external filter for most industrial environments. The drive's THDI stays under 48% at full load per IEC 61000-3-12, so it won't trash your panel distribution. Pair it with a suitable safety relay or controller. Switching frequency runs 2 to 4.9 kHz adjustable, with derating above 4 kHz. For 200 kW motor cables, keep it at 2–3 kHz unless you want to derate output current.
Mounting and wiring quick notes
Cabinet mount only — UL Type 1 or Type 12 when integrated into an enclosure. Forced convection cooling keeps the heat moving; make sure your cabinet ventilation handles the dissipation. Line and motor connections use M10 screw bars on the power module. The control section has slot A for fieldbus options (Profibus, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, Modbus TCP) and slot A/B for digital/analog I/O or relay extension. Modbus serial is on RS-485 2-wire, RTU format, 1 to 247 addresses at 4.8-38.4 kbps. Ethernet/Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbps with half/full duplex and auto-neg. No MODBUS bridge built-in; the serial and Ethernet ports are independent.
