The ATV6A0C35R4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 355 kW at 440 V in normal duty and 280 kW in heavy duty, with a corresponding line current of 559 A at 440 V (normal) or 450 A (heavy). That makes it the right fit for a 355 kW motor on a process pump or fan, and the heavy-duty rating handles the higher current demand of a constant-torque load like a conveyor without oversizing the drive. It ships as a kit: one control unit, three 160 kW power modules, front covers, mounting hardware, and power connections. That modular build means if a power module takes a hit, you swap just that section — not the whole drive. No shop, no crane, fix it where it sits. On the safety front it carries STO (Safe Torque Off) rated SIL 3, plus thermal, overcurrent, short-circuit, and ground-fault protections on both motor and drive sides. Any safety-instrumented system specifying SIL 3 can land here without an external safety relay for the torque-off function.
Power supplies and control wiring
Digital inputs need an external 24 V DC supply (19…30 V). The drive also provides an internal 24 V DC supply for digital inputs and STO (21…27 V, <200 mA) with overload and short-circuit protection — so if your control voltage is stable, you can power the inputs from the drive itself and save an external PSU. There's a separate 10.5 V DC reference supply for the potentiometer (1 to 10 kOhm). Analog inputs: software-configurable 0…10 V DC or 0/4…20 mA, 12-bit resolution. Sampling time 5 ms ±0.1 ms per input. Cabinet mount only, forced-convection cooling. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1 means it expects a clean indoor environment — no conductive dust or condensation.
The kit composition includes three 160 kW power modules — so if one fails, you can replace it individually rather than the whole drive. Keep a spare power module on the van for quick field swaps; the control unit and front covers are separate line items if needed.
