Fieldbus and safety integration
The ATV6B0C31Q6: This modular ATV6B0 variant covers synchronous and asynchronous motors up to 315 kW on a 690 V normal-duty profile, or 250 kW in heavy duty. Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, or CANopen via RJ45 / SUB-D 9 / screw terminals; for I/O expansion a second slot (A/B) handles relay and analog/digital extension modules. The native Modbus serial interface runs at up to 38.4 kbit/s, RTU or ASCII, with configurable parity and 1–247 node addressing. For SIL 3 applications the Safe Torque Off circuit is built into the drive — no external safety contactor required, reducing panel clutter and wiring.
Cabinet integration and mounting
Cabinet mount only — no through-panel or back-box version. Forced convection cooling (fans) requires clearances per the installation manual; the 73 dB noise level at rated load means acoustic consideration in occupied spaces. The kit includes the control unit, mechanical mounting kits, power connection set with fuses, a 200 kW power module, and front cover. Line-side connection uses M10 x 2 bars; motor side similarly M10 x 2 bars. Control wiring via removable screw terminals accepting 0.5–1.5 mm² (AWG 20–16). Prospective line Isc is 50 kA, so verify upstream SCCR. For altitudes above 1000 m derate current; up to 2000 m is acceptable with derating. Vibration resistance 1.5 mm p-p (2–13 Hz) and 0.5 gn (13–200 Hz) per IEC 60068-2-6; shock resistance 4 gn for 11 ms. The modular form factor simplifies replacement of the power section separately from the control unit.
