The ATV9A0C50T6: Cabinet-mount Altivar Process ATV900 rated 550 hp at 600 V normal duty (464 A line current) and 450 hp heavy duty (383 A). Switching frequency adjustable 2–4.9 kHz with derating; suits standard induction and synchronous motors. Integrated EMC filter rated for 984.3 ft (300 m) cable at IEC 61800-3 category C3 level – no external filter needed for most industrial environments. Safe Torque Off SIL 3 included on the control board; break on the control circuit drive protection covers the loop.
Current production – no end-of-life notice. Standard lead times apply; RFQ for firm pricing and availability. CE marked, complies with IEC 61800-5-1, UL 61800-5-1, IEC 61508, and IEC 13849-1 for functional safety. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1. Control and supply wiring
Digital inputs powered from an external 24 V DC supply (19–30 V); a separate 24 V feed (21–27 V) runs the STO logic. Internal 10.5 V DC ±5% reference for a 1–10 kΩ potentiometer. Control terminals are removable screw, 0.5–1.5 mm² (AWG 20–16). Motor connection via M10 bars. Forced convection cooling; cabinet must provide IP21 or IP54 via the enclosure. UL type 1/12 when integrated.
Fieldbus and options
Comes standard with dual Ethernet (Modbus TCP / EtherNet/IP) at 10/100 Mbit/s and a two-wire RS-485 Modbus serial link (RTU frame, 1–247 addresses). Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, or CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slots B and C accept I/O or relay extensions. Line current at 600 V: 464 A normal duty, 383 A heavy duty. Prospective short-circuit current 50 kA.
