Switching frequency and derating

The ATV9A0M10T4: The switching frequency is adjustable from 2.5 kHz to 8 kHz in 2 kHz steps, with a derating factor applied above the factory default. At 8 kHz the drive’s rated output current is reduced per the datasheet thermal curve. For installations that require quiet motor operation (e.g., HVAC) the upper range is usable with appropriate headroom.

Safety function and compliance

The drive meets IEC 61800-5-1 and UL 61800-5-1 for electrical safety. Integrated EMC filter complies with IEC 61800-3 category C3, allowing up to 300 m of shielded motor cable per the datasheet. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1.

Built-in Modbus serial RTU (2-wire RS-485, 4.8–38.4 kbps) and Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP (10/100 Mbit/s).
