The Schneider ATV9B0C71Q4 is an Altivar Process ATV900 modular drive sized for a 710 kW asynchronous or synchronous motor at 400 V normal duty, pulling 1094 A line current. Heavy-duty rating drops to 560 kW / 868 A. Regenerative-mode figures sit at 710 kW / 959.7 A normal duty and 560 kW / 753 A heavy duty — useful if you're feeding energy back into the DC bus on a decelerating load. Control power comes from three separate 24 V DC rails: one for digital inputs (19...30 V), one for STO (21...27 V), and a 10.5 V DC ±5 % reference supply for a 1 to 10 kΩ potentiometer. Keep the STO supply clean — it's the safety path. Switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 8 kHz, with a derating factor applied above 2.5 kHz. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m of motor cable — enough for most installations without an external filter.
Fieldbus and I/O slots
Three option-card slots (A, B, C) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, or Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP via the two RJ45 ports on the terminal. Slot A also takes digital/analog I/O extension or output relay modules; slots B and C handle encoder interface modules (digital 5/12 V, analog, or resolver). The Modbus serial port runs at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s on a 2-wire RS-485 bus, RTU frame, up to 247 addresses.
