The Schneider Electric C063N360FM is a ComPacT NS new generation fixed-mount circuit breaker, rated 630 A at 50 °C with a MicroLogic 6.0 electronic trip unit. It's a three-pole unit (3P) built to EN/IEC 60947-2, giving you LSI protection — overload (long time), short-time short-circuit, and instantaneous short-circuit — plus ground-fault (G) on the same trip unit. Breaking capacity lands at 85 kA Icu at 240 V AC and holds at 50 kA Icu at 415 V AC — that's the N breaking capacity code, meaning it's sized for most distribution panels where the fault current doesn't exceed 50 kA at 415 V.
Ratings that matter for the install
The 630 A frame is the same physical size as the rest of the ComPacT NS630b...1600 range — 210 mm wide, 327 mm tall, 147 mm deep — so if you're swapping out an older NS630b, the footprint and backplate mounting holes line up. The fixed-mount version bolts directly to a backplate; no DIN rail here, so plan for a drilled panel. Power losses are 10 W steady-state, which is low enough that you don't need forced ventilation in a standard IP40 enclosure. Thermal memory is 20 minutes — after a trip, the MicroLogic 6.0 remembers the thermal history for that window, so a hot restart won't nuisance-trip on a second start.
Mounts on a backplate with a 70 mm connection pitch. Front connections both top and bottom — upside and downside — so straight-through busbar layouts work without flipping the breaker. IK07 impact rating means it survives a tool drop during commissioning. Four red LEDs for fault indication, one yellow for overload — you can read the trip cause at a glance without pulling the cover. Manually operated, no motor operator fitted as standard, but the range supports add-on rotary handles and shunt trips if you need remote trip.
