MCCB for distribution panels — 800 A, 4P, MicroLogic 5.0 A
The Schneider Electric C080L45AFM is a ComPacT NS new generation 4-pole molded-case circuit breaker rated 800 A at 50 °C, fitted with a MicroLogic 5.0 A electronic trip unit. It provides overload (L), short-time short-circuit (S), and instantaneous short-circuit (I) protection, making it suitable for distribution applications in industrial and commercial power panels. The breaker is manually operated with an LCD display for local metering and fault indication via four red LEDs and one yellow LED for overload.
Rated 150 kA Icu at 415 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2, this MCCB handles high fault currents typical of transformer-fed switchboards. The 130 kA Icu at 440 V and 100 kA at 500/525 V give headroom for systems with higher nominal voltages. The MicroLogic 5.0 A trip unit's short-time (S) setting allows selectivity with downstream breakers — critical for coordinating a distribution panel so a fault on a branch does not take the main breaker out.
Fixed-mount design for backplate installation. Connection pitch is 70 mm; both upside and downside connections are front-accessible. Dimensions: 327 mm high, 280 mm wide, 147 mm deep. Neutral is on the left. The breaker is rated for 20 W power losses and includes thermal memory of 20 minutes. Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles; electrical durability varies by voltage and load — 2,000 cycles at 690 V In, 3,000 cycles at 690 V In/2, 3,000 cycles at 440 V In, 4,000 cycles at 440 V In/2.
