MicroLogic 4.2 AL trip unit for ComPacT NSX100...250
The Schneider Electric C1034A040 is a MicroLogic 4.2 AL electronic trip unit for the ComPacT NSX100...250 range of molded-case circuit breakers. It is a 3-pole (3D protected) unit rated at 40 A at 40 °C, with an operational voltage of 440 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The trip unit provides LSoI protection: long-time overload (L), short-time short-circuit with fixed delay (So), and instantaneous short-circuit (I), plus integrated earth-leakage protection (Class A).
Protection settings and adjustability
The long-time pickup Ir is adjustable across 9 settings from 18 to 40 A, with fixed delay curves: 400 s at 1.5 x Ir, 16 s at 6 x Ir, and 11 s at 7.2 x Ir. Short-time pickup Isd adjusts from 1.5 to 10 x Ir, with a fixed delay. Instantaneous pickup Ii is fixed at 600 A. Earth-leakage sensitivity IΔn and time delay Δt are both adjustable, with Δt selectable from 0 ms, 60 ms, 150 ms, 500 ms, or 1 s.
The trip unit is designed to EN/IEC 60947-2, with a pollution degree of 3 per IEC 60947-1 and IP40 front-face protection per IEC 60529. The unit is Class II for electrical shock protection.
This is a fixed-mount trip unit for the ComPacT NSX100...250 breaker frame. It occupies the standard 3-pole slot and communicates local status via a flashing green LED (ready), red LED at 105% Ir (overload), orange LED at 90% Ir (pre-alarm), and a yellow indicator for residual current. No zone selective interlocking (ZSI) is provided on this variant. The earth-leakage function can be disabled via the IΔn rotary switch for applications where ground-fault coordination is handled upstream.
