Trip unit for ComPacT NSX — MicroLogic 7.2 E
The Schneider Electric C1047E040 is a MicroLogic 7.2 E electronic trip unit for the ComPacT NSX100...250 range. It's rated 40 A at 40 °C (Ir adjustable 18–40 A) and carries LSIR protection — long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and residual earth-leakage — all integrated into one 4-pole unit. The LCD display gives you local readout of metered values, event logs, and protection settings without needing a connected gateway. Built to EN/IEC 60947-2, this trip unit is designed for distribution boards where you need coordinated protection and energy metering in one package. The 20-minute thermal memory before and after tripping means the unit remembers the thermal state of the conductors even after a short interruption — useful when re-energizing a circuit that just tripped on overload.
L (long-time) protects against sustained overloads — Ir adjustable 18–40 A with tr delay from 15 s to 400 s at 1.5×Ir. S (short-time) handles bolted faults up to the Isd setting, with delay adjustable 0–0.4 s (I²t on or off). I (instantaneous) catches high-magnitude faults with no intentional delay. R (residual) is the integrated earth-leakage protection, Class A, switchable via the IΔn rotary. That means one trip unit covers overcurrent, short-circuit, and ground-fault protection without an external module. The 4P configuration supports multiple neutral protection modes: 3D + N/2 (half-rated neutral), 4D (full-rated), 3D + OSN (oversized neutral), or no neutral protection. Neutral position is left, fixed-mount only.
Integration notes
The trip unit snaps into the ComPacT NSX100–250 fixed-mount breaker. The LCD display and local signalling LEDs (green ready, red overload at 105% Ir, orange pre-alarm at 90% Ir) give you status at a glance without opening the door.
